Jika keto-keto itu perzinaan, walaupun dilandasi suka sama suka, si perempuan biasanya melapor kepada suaminya setelah berzina, dengan harapan memperoleh denda harta dari si lelaki pezina.

Apa yang terjadi pada kasus perzinaan Tapol Buru ini menjadi bagian dari banyak kasus yang ada di tahanan Pulau Buru.
