Pembantaian Tionghoa 1740 di Angke: Runtuhnya Keraton Kertasura (Bagian III)

Khe Panjang melarikan diri setelah kerusuhan di Angke, tahun 1740. Setelah berhasil kabur, Ia membentuk suatu pasukan yang melakukan perlawanan bersenjata wilayah ommenlanden timur, yang sekarang dikenal sebagai wilayah Bekasi.

Souw Phan Ciang, nama lain Khe Panjang—disebut oleh Johannes Theodorus Vermeulen dalam buku Tionghoa di Batavia dan Huru-Hara 1740, senantiasa terus menyemangati pasukannya walau terus didesak Belanda. Bahkan, jika ada salah satu pasukan yang kendur semangat atau berniat menyerah dari perlawanan, akan dihukum pancung.

Pada Juni 1741, VOC mengirim 150 tentara Eropa, 250 tentara pribumi, dan 100 angkatan laut untuk meredam pemberontakan tersebut. Mereka diberangkatkan menuju Bekasi dalam rangka menyerbu laskar Tionghoa itu.

Khe Panjang, beserta pasukannya, kalah.

Mereka melarikan diri menuju Semarang. Di Semarang, ia bertemu dengan para bangsawan Jawa. Kebetulan, saat itu Raden Mas Said alias Pangeran Sambernyawa, Raden Mas Garendi, serta Patih Notokusumo memiliki rasa gusar terhadap VOC.

Dengan kesamaan sikap itu, mereka bersepakat untuk saling membantu dalam mengobarkan perang melawan para kolonialis tersebut. Persekutuan dua etnis ini mampu menguasai perang hampir di seluruh wilayah Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur.

Khe Panjang dipercaya sebagai pemimpin balantentara gabungan itu. Komandonya berhasil merebut Jepara, Kudus, Rembang, Demak, dan beberapa wilayah lainnya di telatah Jawa.

Puncak perangnya, pasukan Khe  berhasil merebut Keraton Kartasura dan membuat tembok keraton jebol. Hingga kini masih dapat dijumpai sisa-sisa reruntuhan bekas pertempuran itu.

Kertasura jatuh pada Juni 1742.

Rajanya, Sunan Pakubuwono II, lari meninggalkan istananya menuju Magetan. Oleh orang Jawa, kekalahan ini ditandai sebagai penanda waktu atau Cendrasengkala:  “Pandito Enem Angoyog Jagad”, yang artinya “Raja telah kehilangan keratonnya”.

Usai penaklukkan Kertasura, Raden Mas Garendi dinobatkan menjadi raja bergelar Sunan Kuning atau Amangkurat V. Nama Sunan Kuning ini terkait erat dengan prajurit Tionghoa yang menyebutnya sebagai cun ling atau bangsawan tertinggi.

Namun, kekuasaan Amangkurat V tidak berlangsung lama. Pada November, tahun yang sama, Kertasura digempur habis dari berbagai arah oleh pasukan gabungan Mataram Pakubuwana-VOC.

Sunan Kuning kalah dan meninggalkan keraton. Sejak saat itu, Kertasura tidak lagi digunakan sebagai pusat pemerintahan. Ibukota Mataram berpindah. Sementara, Khe Panjang dikabarkan lari ke Bali dan  mengabdi di salah satu kerajaan disana.
