Pangeran tak tinggal diam. Ia bersekongkol dengan Inggris untuk menggempur dan mengusir VOC dari tanah Sunda Kelapa itu. Pertempuran sengit terjadi. Namun apa daya, wilayah Jayakarta berhasil ditaklukkan VOC, lalu mengusir pasukan Inggris dan Pangeran.
Pergantian kekuasaan beralih dari Jayakarta menjadi Batavia milik VOC. Akan tetapi, perlawanan kaum pribumi belum berakhir dan terus berlanjut. Resistensi itu tetap ada.
Bagaimana perlawanan yang dilakukan kaum pribumi terhadap VOC setelah itu? Seperti apa bentuknya? Bagaimana reaksi VOC terhadap perlawanan itu?
